If I understand correctly a flutter notation is 3 lines above a note while a shake not only shows 2 or more notes but the 3 lines are below the notes.  On the song The Split in LOA 6 where there is a 5/2 draw (G/F)  with the 3 lines above still means a flutter, correct? What about the very last notes in the song - the same 5/2 draw but the 3 lines are shown in between these 2 notes, is that a shake or a flutter?

 Hello lhobdey. The symbol

Hello lhobdey. The symbol can be above or below the note heads and does not change the meaning. When you have adjacent holes (such as 3 and 4 draw), it's a shake. If they are not adjacent (such as a 5 draw by itself, or a 2/5), that's a flutter. In some cases a flutter can be used on adjacent holes, and in that case I will always tell you in text right next to it to do so.
