Hello David

I'm wondering how you can get a flutter in on an eigth note in Solo Harmonica 2 . I just have the time to hit the note, but not to flutter before moving on.

Best

Miki

Hello Miki. It can be done...

Hello Miki. It can be done... here are some tips...

1) A flutter starts with a slap... slap that 6+ and keep rolling.

2) That 6+ is on the downbeat, and in swing, the downbeat gets 2/3 of thee beat (downbeat = 2/3 / Upbeat 1/3), so you have a little more time than you think.

3) Use a light touch with your tongue on the face of the harmonica... if you push, it will slow you down.

4) If you need to push to achieve a single note, then use more of the top of your tongue (bring the harmonica deeper in your mouth)... you were using too much of the tip.

I hope this helps. You'll get it, it just takes practice and time.
