Hi David,

I'm practising Solo harmonica Study 2, Examples1.6 to 1.8, and there are many flutters on eighth notes. I cannot physically achieve that and to be honest I cannot hear the flutter when you play the examples. Any tips on how to achieve it? Many thanks.

Hello rdh61. You can leave

Hello rdh61. You can leave them out if you wish, and use a throat tremolo on their place. In regards to getting your flutter faster, focus on the first slap (a flutter starts with a slap) and try to get your tongue going fast right away (HAL-La-La-La on the face of the harmonica for example).
