Hey Skip, I originally had this question in the gear section but this amp seems very rare. I then saw on your site that you had worked on one of these amps once. I have an opportunity to purchase a Flot-A-Tone Model 600 Reverb. How would you rate the build quality of these amps?
How would they sound for harp?

Cheers

John

Flot-A-Tone

Hello John- I have serviced quite a few Flot-A-Tone amps. Most of them were earlier (forties and fifties) models that I think are great for harp. The later models like the 600 are even more obscure but, IF properly serviced, should be fine as well. Build-quality is good, but can't compare to a Fender for sturdiness. On the other hand, harp players love those old Premier Twin 8 amps and they are truly flimsy! Of course I have no idea if this particular amp has been messed up either by time or lousy repairs, but if the price is good and you like the tone, it would be tempting.
