Hi David,

What makes a good fill. I try and mix and match different licks from the study songs, or try and create something out of my head when I'm practicing the chorus forms, but they still don't sound very good or interesting.

Hello Paul. You have the correct approach, just keep doing it and they'll sound better over time. The more licks you study (via your study songs and such) the more ideas you'll have that fit each particular situation (groove, tempo, space left for the fill, etc.).
