I enjoy playing my harmonica to jam tracks using my brand new bulletini mic and laney cub (thanks to David Barrett's recommendations) for friends and family and would like to invest in a sound system to support this.  Can you recommend a speaker system to play jam tracks over?  For example, should I look in to purchasing JBL sound system or PA system?

Thank you,

Anthony Vaccaro

Inputs and output

I'm not the best person to ask about this. You might get better informed answers from Greg Heumann or Skip Simmons.

That said, think about:

  • How many inputs? From the sound of it, just whatever is playing back the jam tracks, and possibly you mic if you want to go direct into the board for a clean sound.
  • How much power? This is informed b the size of venue you anticipate playing, and also by wehat will match and complement the power of your Laney Cub.

Thanks for your feedback.  I will see what Greg or Skip have say on this as well.  As a relatively new player I think it is very interesting and sometimes stressful to think about the next purchase.  As I am sure you can appreciate, gear can get fairly expensive fairly quick and it is easy to ruminate on the best bang for the buck.
