Hi Skip, Any information you can give me regarding this speaker. Thinking of buying a Laney cub 10 with one fitted. Thanks

Eminence speakers

Hello Fred- In general, Eminence speakers are great.  We have all heard them for many years because they have been the "stock" speaker in almost every quality USA-made amp since the early seventies.

As I have said before, I think ceramic-magnet speakers are just fine for harp. Alnico is cool, but ceramic speakers add bass.

However, that Eminence is fine, but I'm betting that the Laney is one high-gain, screamin' rock guitar amp that may not be ideal for harp.  Any BH readers out there have any experience with them?

Ramrod speaker

I have a ramrod sitting in a drawer with all the others, (lilBuddy, red fang), I went back to alnico, the vintage Rola alnico (50,s), really sound great, (I think sound better than the newer eminence 30 watt blue frames), they are easily available on e bay in the 30.00 range. When a new speaker is switched out, it takes days, (or more), to really get used to the ’new sound’.
