David Hi,  I am studying the Chromatic in parallel to my LoA7 but have a question that applies to my LoA studies, well both. The chorus form of Easy baby Chorus 6 I struggle to understand why it is A  B/A1 chorus form. The first three bars constitute the A, the fourth is a lead into the IV measures 5.  Measure 7 is a change from A and therefore A1? We then have a lead in to the V chord and this is where I get lost as I would think of it as C. If that is the case would the Chorus form not be  A  B/A1  C?

Not sure what I am missing but suspect I will be embarrassed when you tell me.

Hello John. Sorry for the

Hello John. Sorry for the confusion... this is a typo... there should be a C at the end.

The first line is A (the lick is presented in bar 1, and then there is a variation of the lick in bars 2 and 3... this all constitutes "A"). You're correct that bar 4 is a pickup to the IV.

Bars 5 and 6 are B.

Bar 7 is A, a variation based on A in bars 2 and 3. And again you're correct, bar 8 is a pickup to the V.

The rest is C.
