"In Cup"

Hi, David!

in the "in cup" technique it is possible to play the high end of the harmonica?
because I have difficulty to play the fifth hole above....and
in this case the first holes are not covered, this influence the cupping?

Answer

You're correct, holes on the left are open when you play the 5th hole and above. Players do not commonly try to find a way to seal the other holes... we'll use slaps and/or octaves if you want a fuller sound.
