Hi Greg

I have a mic made for me about 15 years ago with a Shure CM White label  99G566  BA .  I've been trying to find out it's approximate date of manufacture.  I found this webpage  http://greenbulletmics.com/DATING_the_ELEMENTS.html which has a great deal of info but seemingly not anything about my number sequence.  Got any idea?

Hi, Doug

I use Dave's dating info but as a rule I just don't pay any attention. I care more about where a Shure element is in the progression of manufacturing changes (from most recent - 1980's - to original black label 1948)

1 - dual impedance CM (99S556)

2 - single impedance CM

3 - premium CM

4 - white label CR

5 - black label CR

Within any one of those categories the year makes less difference.
