Hi David,

Out of curiosity, how long should a Chromatic last?

Answer

It all depends on how much you play it. Mine gets about a half hour of use a day and I'm still playing my 270 Deluxe that I bought 2007. I would suppose that if you play yours a lot... many hours a day... that after about two years you could expect to send it in for servicing.

With this said, wind savers are a pain and I find myself tinkering with stuck wind savers often.

Ok. Whew. It's good to know

Ok. Whew. It's good to know that these aren't throw away instruments. (That would get spendy).

Thank you,
Taylor
