Once I figured out the A lick in a chorus form can change from one chorus to the next in a particular song the overwhelming sense of repetetion disappeared and the entire process made much more sense. One chorus form I stumbled upon is ABA but couldn't find any reference of it from you. It seems as legitimate to me as the others so wondering if there's a reason, other than brevity, that you don't refer to it?

Answer

Hello SmokeJS. It's not listed simply because it's rare. When I was developing/discovering this concept I analyzed over a thousands blues harmonica instrumentals, many solos, as well as solos/instrumentals by other instrumentalists, and the listed five Chorus Forms are what were resoundingly used the most. That said, if you feel it sounds musical, go for it... the only judge in music is that it sounds cool.
