Microphones and amplifiers are just so much fun that it's hard to put them down, but next time you want to buy a new element or try a new speaker, drop a few bucks on this CD by Charlie Musselwhite instead. It's just Charlie - playing solo guitar, rack harmonica, and singing all-original blues with no amps at all.  It's a very quiet, even intimate sound, but it packs all the blues power in the world.
