I had two Special 20's with rattling/catching reeds.

I checked the reeds center-ness, and slot size, but could not find anything obvious.

Fixed both harmonicas by loosening the bolts a little - 1/16 turns out.

Strange, huh?

Hi RB, not strange at

Hi RB, not strange at all.

The reed slot tolerance on the new Hohner reed plates are impressive. Over tightening the reed plate bolts will bow the reed plates--reducing the clearance of the reed plate slots. This causes the reeds to hit the reed plate as it passes through. Click, click, click!
