catching a breath

Hello David,
Plugging away on the final choruses of The Strut and can use some advise on breathing.
Meas1-4 is preceeded by 2 meas of inhale shakes, inhaling continues thru beat 1 of meas 4.
The long inhales continue throughout the rest of the chorus.
As I am asking this question I am thinking that I need to read the information on breathing that you have supplied.

Yes, check out that lesson, it will show you what you need to know.
The bar previous to those shakes has a lot of blow notes... open your nose as you play those final blow notes to get rid of ALL of your air. Make sure your nose does not open while playing those shakes (your body is screaming for air... don't give in... you need that air over the coming six bars).
If you need to, for now, you can get rid of air at the end of bar 1 (Chorus 6). As your breath balance gets better, you'll be able to make it all the way through those six bars.
