Dear Mr. Barrett, on Cash Money, did William Clarke use tongueblocking all the time? It seems to me he's using sometimes double tongueing on some licks. Is the intro lick played with slaps and pulls?

Answer

The intro lick uses pulls-slaps and slaps. I believe he tongue blocked everything, though there's no way to know 100%. Do what works for you and what you feel sounds the best.
