Hello;

I was wondering if something is wrong with my harmonica or is it just me not doing it right. I've spent 1 week trying to bend on 1 2 3 4 6 holes of my harmonica but can only bend on 1st hole of the harmonica; I can't manage to pull it off on the other holes. I have the same issue with another harmonica so I'm finding it quite strange that the the harmonicas are both faulty...

I've watched 10 different videos on Youtube on how to bend but still can't get it right even by moving the harmonica and sliding my lips around it and tilting it. Any help would be gladly welcome !

Shape you oral cavity.

If the one factor in common is you, then possibly the harmonicas are not faulty.

Moving the harmonica, tilting it, and doing stuff with your lips are all poor quality hacks that fail to get to the heart of the matter.

Your lips have only one job: to direct air to the hole(s) you want toplay, without leakage and without obstruction.

It's possible to et a poor quality bend by obstructing airflow at the opening to the hole, either by pinching your lips or tilting the harp. But that's a shallow, dead end.

Maybe some of my video material might help:https://www.dummies.com/book-extras/harmonica-dummies-2nd-edition-resour...
