Hi David,

I hope you are well today.

Thajk you for all the resources on PA Heads and setting

up The Bassman for Harp, as well as everything you do!

I have a Masco Ma-17 from Skip Simmons.

it's in a Jim Lundin Spruce Cab with Magogany Panels

weber 10a125-O H dust cap and Weber ceramic 8 smooth cone

H dust cap.

The thickness and type of wood from these exotic cabs is

great to look at but not as resonant or musical

as the traditional pine and birch plywood standard.

I will be moving the head to a traditional build cabinet

with 2x12 Weber ribbed No dust cap to ge the most volume on the occasions

when the Bassman is not needed.

I live in LA.

any suggestions for cabinet resources.

I've checked out:

My pleasure Erik. I enjoy

My pleasure Erik. I enjoy messing around with gear, so I'm happy to share my enthusiasm about it.

In my experience, heavy cabs can sound as good as light cabinets. Either way, it's good to mess around with different cabs... you'll definitely have a preference.

The weber-raw cabs look good (haven't tried them). MojoTone makes great cabs. I just purchased a custom cab from Armadillo Amp Works (Mark Overman specs) and was very happy with the end product and service (https://amprestoration.com). I really like vertical cabs... if you can, I suggest that get that (it gets the amp higher for adjustment).

P.S., that Skip Simmons MA-17 will sound great through anything, so have fun getting whatever you think is cool.
