Im overcoming many challenges to learn this instrument...still 100% committted.

One that I dont pay enough attention to is breating.  In fact, I would say that my corrrent stuggles to play the songs completly without stopping is most costrained by breating more than TB technique.

For example I play Solo Har #2 exercise 2.1base line.  Are we expected to be able to play those first 4 bars of all draw without a gap to release air?  I can sometimes do it, but by the time I release air at the end of the 4th bar I have lost tempo to get into the IV chord lick.

Any kints

BTW I congratulate you agin for putting together such a comprehensive methodology to learn this challenging instrument.

Hello gwknopp. Yes, the goal

Hello gwknopp. Yes, the goal is to play Ex. 2.1 without removing your mouth to take a breath. With this said, it does take time for your technique to develop for your breathing to be more efficient. Here are some tips for you in regards to 2.1...

1) Play softer (= less air required)

2) Play your chords softer than your single notes (this musically sounds better and = less air needed)

3) Open your nose to exhale air while you're playing your 5+'s

4) Give it time, it will get better!

BTW, thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying your studies.
