Hi Greg!
came across a Shure 99C86 NA element in good shape. I saw an ebay add where someone "boosted" the low z with a "transformer" and it was super hot after that.
Can you share which transformer is the best for this and any needed info?
Thanks
Nick

Hi, Nick Yes - you can wire

Hi, Nick

Yes - you can wire an impedance matching transformer between the element and the connector in the mic to make it a high impedance mic - presuming there is room - and there is, in almost any popular bullet shell. I have the transformers for $14.95 if you need one. You can reach me at greg@blowsmeaway.com

Cheers
