Blues Scale Question: 6 draw

David, if the G blues scale drops the 2nd and 6th scale degree why do we include the 6 draw A and 6' flated Ab?  Confused?  Thx.

Hello rvenetucci. Check out the video where I teach the blues scale, I speak about that portion of the scale. The high end does not sound very bluesy, because of the lack of bluesy notes. I added in the 6 and 6’ to make up for that lack of bluesyness. So, it is not part of the true blues scale, but it is a practical way to traverse the harmonica in that range.
