Hi David ! What backing track will be best to use for Jerry Portnoy "Blues in a dream" , any that comes in mind and you know will fit ? Thanks!

Answer

Most any slow blues will work. Jerry's playing to the "Blue Midnight" backing to be exact. So a jam track... like the one made by Shoji... will be the same http://www.bluesharptracks.com

BTW

You might find the track listed under, "Quarter to Twelve," that was another of Walter's tunes that used that bass line. Also, btw, MANY harp players used that bass line since then for their backing on a slow blues.

Shoji lists it as "1/4 to midnight"

On his site, the track is listed as "1/4 to midnight,"
