I've blown out 3 draw 5 reeds lately. That's expensive. I've been working on third position, and also bending draw 5. Am I trying to bend it too far, blowing too hard, or both?

I haven't blown out a reed in a really long time, then recently, wham three reeds, all the same hole.

Steve

Answer

You're correct, trying to bend it too far and blowing too hard. The price of education I guess :-)
