Hi david,

I'm trying to get to play those fast triplets but I can speed them up, I've been practising for a month on that. Expecialli the first triplet  3"" 3 4, any suggestion ?

Answer

Hello luckyharp. Usually the key to building speed is to play as relaxed as possible. Focus on using as little tension in your mouth and tongue (for the bend) as you can. Also don't over-articulate. I just use one articulation, a KA for the 3 draw. Best wishes on this.

I'm currently studying Big

I'm currently studying Big Walter and working on my triplets currently too.  I just practice to a metronome and then slowly keep dialing the metronome up a little faster everyday.

Yes the metronome, I'm using it. The difficult is more on the 3 draw, cause it's less responsive that the 4 draw.
