Hi Dave,

l would like to start incorporating some of the high end blow bends in my scale / harp ninja practice.

Ive had some level of success but the 10' is elusive. could you point me to the best resources on BH.com for any tips?

Best,

Andrew

Hello Andrew. You will find

Hello Andrew. You will find my lesson on this here "Bending Study 6 - Blow Bending" http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/bending_study_level_6

The key to achieving the 10'+ is that you move your tongue back for blow bends, just like your draw bends, and making sure that your mouth starts small enough (tuned to the 10+ first and then lowering in pitch for the bend). Most players make the mistake of moving their tongue forward for a blow bend, this will cause the bend to pop into place, directly to the 10"+.

Keep at it, this is a very challenging bend.
