Hi David

I would like to pick up a few Big Walter Horton albums. Could you recommend some must haves?

I havnt come across an 'essential' collection like you see from some artists. It looks like he has recorded with lots of people and variants so I am not sure where to start.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Andrew

Hello Andrew. There is a

Hello Andrew. There is a collection, and it's called Blues Harmonica Giant. Individual releases I really like are...

1) Mouth Harp Maestro - This is his early work

2) Fine Cuts and Can't Keep Loving You - These are on the Blind Pig label and were recorded in '78 and 79' I believe. He had a great, supportive band. TONS of killer harp on there.

Have fun, Horton was a monster harp player
