Kinya

I have a set of SP20s that I use mostly as practice harps. Two of them are now on the shelf. One has a completely broken 5 draw reed and the other an extremely flat 4 draw reed. I replaced each with a new harp (one with a Blue Midnight just to try something different). I really want to fix the two broken ones with new reed plates, however I could not find plates at a low enough price and thus it cost about the same to just buy a new harp. Would you know where I could buy reed plates reasonably priced? I would still like to fix these old SP20s; and know where to go for plates when this happens again.

Thanks

Brian

Hey Brian,

Good to hear from you.

On this site, click back to NEW EQUIPMENT, then select "Harp Tech Study 5--reed replacement". Print out page two Hohner USA contact info.

Will I see you at my Harp Tech workshop on April 11/12 in San Jose, CA? If so, I can hook you up with reeds you can replace in class.

Your Harpsmith, Kinya

Kinya:

Thanks, I found the contact info. I assume if I call or e-mail them they can set me up on how to order new plates?
I wish I could come out there in April. I'm out in the Milwaukee WI area so I would have to plan ahead for travel. Also my wife, son, and some friends are heading to the Bay area in early July. If I join them, maybe I'll stop by San Jose. Definitely would like to visit you all if I get a chance.
