Hi David,

Are you able to comment on best practices with regards  to approachping each section within a LOA?

Should we spend an allotted amount of time on each section/practice session  or should we be working on one section until completed (then move on to the next section)?

As always, your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

G~

Hello G. Every student tends

Hello G. Every student tends to be different on how they approach their practice time (what works for them), but I would say the most common approach is to spend 2/3 of the time on the study song and the other 1/3 on the other material (Solo Harmonica Study, Music Theory and Accompaniment Playing). The study song should be daily, where the other material you can break up over your practice week if you want. For your level, I would say to do solo harmonica study for 10 minutes and accompaniment playing for 10 minutes, equaling twenty minutes of your daily hour practice. Do that for two days and the third day spend the entire twenty minutes on music theory. If you need more time on the other material, then drop your study song down to third minutes. See what works for you.
