HI David,

You probably have answered this question 1000 times but here goes:

I am working on "The Strut".  Using the TB embouchure I can make the 2 hole full step bend and the one hole half step bend on the D harmonica.  However I cannot make those bends on my G harmonica.

Is that common with beginners?  Do issues like that go away as my benidng becomes stronger?

 Thanks

Sure, this is a common issue.

Sure, this is a common issue.

Holes 1 and 2 on a D Harmonica bend nothing like holes 1 and 2 on a G Harmonica. The G Harmonica is way lower, requiring a much larger bending embouchure. Focus on humping more of the back of your tongue, further back in your mouth.

If you own a set of harps, you may find it useful to work your 1 and 2 on the D harp, then the C harp, then Bb harp, then A harp, and then the G harp. This way you're getting a good step-down practice.
