David i have only been trying to bend for about ten days now and im doing quite well. i can bend holes 123 to their full range while tongue blocking, obviously they need a lot of work to hit them precisely, but i cannot get holes 4 and 5. I realize that hole 5 doesnt bend the same as other holes. when i try to bend hole 5 while lip pursing i hit c# on the harp ninja which seems to sound like im getting the right amount of bend. I can also get the 4 hole to bend while pursing, but tongue blocking i am failing at. can you give me a tip where to find holes 4 and 5. Also i struggle to use the metronome, when practising. can you give me tips how to use it as i know of its importance. sorry to put so much into one text
Hello Camelot. I’m glad that your bending is coming along well. The key for the higher bends is in a smaller embouchure. Use more of the middle and front of your tongue further forward in your mouth. You need that front part of the tongue to control those higher pitched bends. Also, not having the jaw dropped can be helpful. Think and frontal.
