Hi David,

Started your classes 3 weeks ago while being confined :) They're amazing.

I'm making some good progress on the bending, especially on the 4 & 6 draws.

The 3 draw bend is coming as well, I can get to the correct frequencies (thanks to harpninja app) but I can't get a nice sound out of it (sounds like a fly if you know what I mean).

Does that mean my tongue is not correctly located ?

Thanks in advance for your support, your classes are great by the way !

Adrien from France

Welcome to the site Adrien,

Welcome to the site Adrien, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. The fact that you’re getting the correct pitches means that you’re doing just fine. Tone will develop over time. Work on not using tension while bending, only movement of the tongue is required.

You can also experiment with having your jaw dropped lower, and your tongue humped further forward in the mouth for the same bend. You can experiment with not dropping your jaw as much, and hump your tongue a little bit further back. They both equal the same volume, but one may have better tone, or easier for you to control the bend (with less effort/tension).
