Hi !!!
I saw the interview with Joe Filisko, on blow bending,
he talking about bad tones...(fantastic sound!)
this technique is a change in tone or pitch?
it is obtained by moving up the tongue with a small embouchure ??

thanks!
Marko

Answer

Joe was giving a tip on how to blow bend. Most players have their mouth tuned too low in pitch to do the blow bend. By making your embouchure (mouth and lip positioning) small it will help you to tune your mouth to a high-enough pitch to make the blow bend possible. This is a change in pitch.
