Bacwards shuffle?

Hi.  Can you please tell me what "backwards shuffle" (Gary's Blues) means?

Answer

Take a look at the Performance Training lesson titled "Groove." What you'll hear is that it's also known as a Flat Tire and is a groove where the drummer plays the upbeat with the snare, so it has a very syncopated sound.
