JT30 volume control

Hi, Tommy

The simple answer is yes - whatever kind of volume control your JT30 needs, I can make it. However there are a few of variables we need to sort out first.

The original crystal elements in the vast majority of JT30's have already failed - and often have been replaced with Shure Controlled Magnetic ("CM") or Controlled Reluctance ("CR") elements. I need to know if your mic still has a crystal element, or a dynamic one like the CM or CR. The reason is that the impedance of the volume control has to be matched to the element to get maximum performance with minimal loss of tone.

Also- JT30's were originally made with the Amphenol or Switchcraft 5/8" screw-on "button" connector. Later JT30's came with 3-pin XLR connectors. I need to know which connector we're talking about to build you the proper control.

Lastly - I offer a few color schemes - "standard" has a black anodize aluminum center section while unfinished aluminum is a silver color. I also offer red, blue and gold anodized controls for a $10 premium.

Let me know the answers to the above questions, as well as where you live so I can figure shipping - by email to greg@blowsmeaway.com - and I will send you a PayPal invoice.

Cheers!
