Hello Dave,

I seem to have reached to a point where I have realized how much I don't know so it starts to get really difficult to concebtrate on all the areas I have identified I lack skills in.

My goal is to dedicate at minimum 2 hours every day on practice and playing. I am in fact trying to stea more time but more than 2 becomes difficult especially durint the workdays week.

What I need help and advice with is building a better optimized schedule tat would help me strenghten the techniques that I have already learned + learn some new ones.

So my status in terms of bluesharmonica.com material: My goal is first to complete all level 3 material befre progressing further. I still have to complete the Accompanyment studdy, the dynamics studdy, the artist studdy and the recently added ear training.

In addition I am trying to strenghten my breath control, by doing some train immitations and fox chase examples set by joe, going throigh some essential scalesm movement excersizes, bending control, tongue blocking excersizes that i still work on way back from level 1 lessons.

So once I start practice a certain technicue it occupies a part of my practice time and as best as I try to combine those into less excersized they still inflate y practice time leaving me with less time to work on new stuff.

so roughly my schedule:

* Train immitation (breath control)

* Fox chase (breath control)

* Scales, movement exersizes

* Songs from the site (Temperature-work on dynamics, Feeling for the blues-work on bends, buffet line - working on both, Joe filisco artist studdy - working on splits)

* Tongue block execises(tongue agility, flutter, side flutter, octaves with pulls)

* High end bending (I dont spend much time on this but i just know it takes a lot of time to I am trying to be prepaired for when the time comes to use it)

All and all I feel it has become more difficult to add new material so I need to drop some of the above but I dont feel profficient in any of them.

I guess what I am also trying to ask is: when would I feel I own a technicue in order to leave practice room for a new one? OR how to incrporate more techniques in less excersizes in order to practice all at once and compress practie time?

I am affraid that if I skip any of the exersizes on the next day I will have lost some of the progress I made on them, so that keeps me stuck on making them at any cost which most of the time is sleep time...this is also not good cos I feel that I am more productive when well rested.

Can yu please help me with some guidance?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Angel. I don't have

Hello Angel.

I don't have much to say, you have a pretty good practice routine already.

One thing to keep in mind is that the new material I teach you will have the past lessons' techniques and challenges.

In other-words, as you learn the new stuff, the old stuff gets reviewed. If you find yourself playing a lot of old material, that's not time well-spent.

With this said, you seem to have good things you've assigning yourself to work... dynamics for example with Temperature. Maybe make notes of the elements you want to have (like dynamics) in your new study song?

I wish I could be of more help, but you seem to be very focused and on the ball... you just need to make a choice on what you feel is old, and will be covered in your current material.
