Hi, David:

I am getting a lot of fun out of Solo Harmonica Study 3. The chording and the basslines would be very good for solo playing or as part of a duo. Would these lines be useful while playing with a full band, or are they too busy?

Thanks,

Marc

Glad you're liking them Marc. I would say that these are too active to play as accompaniment, but probably active enough to use as a solo. They're kind of in-between since they were designed to be solo harmonica pieces. Lots of good ideas none-the-less that can be used in various ways.

Could I use these as an intro

Could I use these as an intro to a song instead of counting in? For example, I'll just tell the band "Key of E" and then play one of these basslines for 12 bars. Then, hopefully they'll be with me and I'll start whatever instrumental I was planning on.

I saw Aki do something similar to this, but I know I have no relationship with the band in the way that he does.

Sure, that would work well.
