David:

Any thoughts on the software Anytune? It seems to be getting better ratings on IPad than The Amazing Slowdowner lately. I know the idea is that we merely need to slow down the music to be able to play to it and learn it, but I'm figuring $15 is $15, so why not get the best bang for the buck? Do you have any experience with Anytune or does anybody else that might be able to give their opinion. I was going to just purchase The Amazing Slowdowner until I saw the difference in recent reviews on both. Thanks for any input!

Anytune

i use the free version of anytune on my iPhone daily. I really enjoy the app and it certainly has contributed to learning all songs particularly difficult passages. It has a step feature where you can isolate a passage and it will step up the tempo after each loop. There are many features in the free version that allow flexibility. I found it took a little bit to learn just like anything else but worth the effort. You can access any song residing on your iPhone.

The price is right though for anyone wanting to expetiment with how a program like this helps the learning curve Before purchasing one with all the features

I've been using an application called Audipo.  They have a free version and a premium version (though I just realized I don't know if they have an IOS version).  It's been great, and the price can't be beat :).
