can you tell me a decent amp and mic to purchase thats not going to cost a grand or better please i am new to amplified playing and wasnt a big fan for a while but its growing on me thanks

Sure... I like http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Kustom-Dart-10FX-Combo-Practi... it's cheap and has a lot of nice features for such a low $ amount. The Hohner Blues Blaster is a good value... down the road you can change the cartridge to a better one.
