G'day Skip,

I'm hopeful you can help me with a question about my ampeg jet.

i obtained this amp in somewhat modified condition and have rebuilt it to original circuit as per schematic.

everything seems to work ok, apart from the tremolo.

the tremolo works too, but I think I may have hooked up the speed pot incorrectly. When I switch it on the tremolo starts fast and gets slower as I rotate the knob.

I have no prior experience of these amps. Do you know if that is the way the trem is intended to work, or should the trem start slow and speed up as the control is rotated?

i tried connecting the ground lead to the other leg of the pot, but the trem did not start when I put it around that way

thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave-  Thanks for writing. This one is a little esoteric for this forum, so give me a call some time (days) and we'll figure it out!

Thanks

thanksSkip. Might be tricky to call as I'm in Australi. Not sure the time differenc.

i think the pot maybe dodgy in the tremolo, as 2 of the last 3 times I switched it on I found it stayed the same speed wherever I turned the knob. But 1 time it did responD. And when I connect the other leg of the pot, it doesn't work at all.
