Hey Kinya - this looks very interesting. Have you seen one in action? The specs are certainly promising and seem to address many current limitations.
I'm still having trouble with the import feature of Garage Band on the iPad (for backing tracks) but the iMic set up seems to work for straight mic input for recording.
I'd be very curious to get some feedback on the Alesis iO Dock. Timing is great (if it is as good as it looks) as I'll be in CAL and not have to deal with cross-border hassles.
