Dave, I'm having trouble on a Marine Band Crossover, Key of D, bending 3 draw to full step ben . There is air escaping. Is it my technique or should that hole be gapped closer to be more responsive?

Hello Paul. It's most likely technique, but it doesn't hurt anything to experiment with gapping. Keep in mind that when bending that it's the opposing reed that's important (it's the reed that vibrates in the full bend), so experiment with the blow reed first.
