Hello Moran. Yes, the slap is

Hello Moran. Yes, the slap is your default way of playing a note as a blues harmonica playing, and yes, you'll use it for accompaniment playing as well.

Should I Slap?

Hi David,

The slap is taught in level two, in the song Temperature.  In Level 3, we learn Feelin' for the Blues, where I don't believe you mention the slap, nor can I hear you slapping during the song.

Is this because the emphasis is on another skill, or possibly because it is not appropriate for this song?

Could/should the notes be slapped?

Thanks David, for a great website.

Homer.

Good question Homer. Walk

Good question Homer. Walk With Me is more of a pretty melody, so we would not use slaps as much in such a melody. Slaps can be thrown in there, here and there, but generally not many slaps.
