Hi David great course.

I am having a problem with the draw on my A harp on the 5 hole. It is a new Folk master harp and when I try and draw eg to learn scale movements 5 draw does not tend to sound. I don't seem to have this problem on C D o4r G harps. I am trying my best to drop the back of my tounge. The problem is there on tounge blocking and pucker. Is it my technique or do I carefully need to clean that reed? Hope you can help.

Greetings from Tasmania Bloosey

Answer

Greetings Tasmania Bloosey. I'm leaning towards it being the harmonica. Post a detailed explanation of how it responds in the Harp Tech Expert Kinya Pollard portion of the forum so he can help diagnose what may fix it best. Best wishes on a speedy recovery of your A Harmonica!

5 hole a harp

Thank you David. I slid a bit of paper under the reed and my a harp is now enjoying the warm glow of well being.
I will take your advice and check out Kinya Pollard's stuff as I am sure this sort of thing will happen again. Once again great lessons realy making progress.
Greetings from Tasmania

technique

There was some technique stuff involved . I have figured out that when i move from 4 to five my tongue seems to want to follow to the right and that is blocking 5. Hope this helps someone else.
