Hi David,

I practice 3 draw whole step bend. I already can do it good enough on the A harmonica, but struggle with the C one. I understand I have to get both intonation and tone quality rigt, but I can't do both in the same time for now. I can either play it with a good, long lasting tone and wrong or unstable intonation, or I can get intonation right, but then my tone is thin, ugly and short.

So the question is, what should come first. Should I start with good intonation and then improve the tone quality over time, or vice versa, focuse on the tone first and then fine tune intonation?

Thank you,

Marek

Good morning Marek. Go for

Good morning Marek. Go for intonation first, and then tone. Tone will come with time. Focus on using more of the front of your tongue, further forward in your mouth (similar the 6 draw on your A harmonica). Using the correct part of your tongue in the correct part of your mouth will give you best tone.

Thank you David. Wow, that

Thank you David. Wow, that analogy with 6 draw on the A harmonica seems to be very helpful!
