Hi David,

just noticed I'm moving my jaw while tongue switching, kind of the way Hob was during his classes, however, with a little less noticeable movement. The strange thing is that while using the tongue block trainer and without the harp placed I can perfectly move only the tongue. I don't notice any difference on the sound emitted. Since I realized this, I've trying to avoid the movement, but only when I use my hand to block the jaw I've been successful.

So, the question is: should I be worried and work a way to avoid/correct this or is it just fine?

Another one: sometimes I see you telling people to submit their recordings for evaluation. From the beginning I assumed I should work a song and when it's sounding like a song (and not a bunch of notes played together) submit it. Could I submit more than one time the same song?  In my specific case, I'm planing to follow the LOA, may I send to you only the song, after your feedback work it out and when it's better executed take the test?

Third and final: about the LOA2, you state on the first video that the requisite for the TB study 2 (Temperature) is the Accompaniment Study 2, however some of the choruses of "I want you with me" contains licks of "Temperature". Which one should be the starting point?

Thanks again!

Hello Gustavo. If you're

Hello Gustavo.

If you're moving your jaw just a little bit, and tongue switching is not an issue, then you're fine. If you tongue switch, and you're unintentionally moving one hole to the right (playing hole 2 instead of hole 1), then it's a problem. It doesn't sound like you're having that problem.

"Another one: sometimes I see you telling people to submit their recordings for evaluation. From the beginning I assumed I should work a song and when it's sounding like a song (and not a bunch of notes played together) submit it."

You're correct, I feel the same way.

"Could I submit more than one time the same song?"

Yes, I'll help you along the way

"In my specific case, I'm planing to follow the LOA, may I send to you only the song, after your feedback work it out and when it's better executed take the test?"

Yes.

"Third and final: about the LOA2, you state on the first video that the requisite for the TB study 2 (Temperature) is the Accompaniment Study 2, however some of the choruses of "I want you with me" contains licks of "Temperature". Which one should be the starting point?"

Make "Temperature" you're primary focus now, but feel free to work on Acc2 soon. "I want you with me" is not required for the L2 test (look at the requirements, I'm looking for a different... smaller... example).
