Driving Under the Harmonica Influence Warning...

Here's something to think about as you're commuting or driving a long distance on a holiday trip.

Due to the portability of the harp many players practice in the car while driving. A word of warning from a fellow student that I met many years ago while teaching a workshop in Florida. He was a claims representative and it was his job to look at vehicles and their drivers after an accident. He stated that air bags open with tremendous force and anything in front of your face... cell phone... harmonica... etc. will end up IN your face (I believe he used the words "in your skull") when the airbag deploys (he said he's seen it).

So, if you value your teeth and everything behind them, you may want to think twice about playing while driving for the ride home Sunday.
