Video Tip 6 - I Love You More Everyday

Today's tip comes from the sixth song of my concert set at Steve Baker's Harmonica Masters Workshop.

"I Love You More Everyday" is in D and is played on the G Harmonica in 2nd Position.

Your tip...

Notice how my hands are completely cupped/closed when playing accompaniment in this song. This is not usually what you do when you play IN FRONT of a microphone, but in the situation of playing accompaniment it creates a muted sound that stays nicely in the background. It's important that the back of your hands touch (or nearly touch) the front of the microphone, otherwise you won't be heard. Phil Wiggins is a great example of a player that does this
