Hello Harp Techs

As chilly weather sweep over most of our members, it is time to keep your harmonicas snuggly warm.

I am referring to your harp tech work and harmonica playing.

If you can match the reed temperature closer to your body temperature, there will be less condensation build up on the reeds.

This will provide your harp tech work with a more stable environment for tuning. As for your playing, especially with chromatic harmonicas (those nasty wind savers again ;o), the harmonica response will be more crisp and confident.

I recommend purchasing a simple (read: inexpensive) heating pad from your local drugstore, Target, or Wal-Mart, and “pre-heating” your harmonicas before servicing and/or playing.
