UPDATE: I think this is the album Joe suggested in class. Sonny Terry is not mentioned in the discription but it sounds like him to me. What do you think?
Brother John Sellers "Jack of Diamonds" Album. It doesn't get any more real than this!
Stumbled across George Winston by accident, I love his toungue blocking technique, absolutely amazing use of low tonic drone over folk songs. Sorry its not blues but it stil has that big chordal sound that catches me everytime. check out his album on itunes called "Harmonica Solos". He was taught by Sam Hinton and Rick Epping so great foundations.
This video was posted on the William Clarke Remembered Facebook page. His wife says it was flimed in a living room. Video quality is terrible, audio quality is poor, but it's still riveting to me.
Bill Jensen ( a new member here) is also a jazz banjo player and has for several years posted a Christmas video to his friends. This year he invited me to join his "Jingle Bells Gang" in this year's project. It was extremely interesting to see how something like this was put together with players from South Dakota, Toronto and Victoria joining in. The whole recording of audio and video was with individual sessions and then assembled by Bill to produce what you see in this YouTube link.
maybe its been mentioned before, but the Jimmy Rogers' Allstars album "Blues Blues Blues" is really a value package if you are interested in accompaniment. Kim Wilson and Carey Bell share duties, on most of the tracks in an accompaniment context. Really worth spending some quality time with this record, IMHO
