Reading "Blues All Day Long - the Jimmy Rogers Story - the accounting of this album made me check it out and download it. Backed by Rod Piazza and his band the Mighty Flyers, it is a great collection of vintage Jimy Rogers sounds with wicked harp backing by Rod Piazza (and great keyboard by his wife Honey). Worth a check IMHO
Hi folks! Who would you recommend to listen to, as an advanced beginner (or beginning intermediate) for the purpose of expanding my lick vocabulary? I know who the main influences are, but are there any players you know of that I could potentially be able to grab licks from more easily at my actual level? Let's face it, Little Walter is great, but too far over my head to be useful!! Any suggestion welcome, might be a name, an album a track, thanks in advance
